Embroidering On Paper

Embroidering On Paper

I’ve been wanting to learn to embroider for over a year now and I finally sat down to teach myself. I don’t remember what exactly pushed me to do it, but before I knew it I had picked up some shiny new Moleskine graph notebooks and started tracing and sketching. All of these I drew freehand, though I was looking at a picture while drawing.

The Eiffel Towel, Tardis, and phone booth were all inspired by my trip coming up in 12 (!!!) days. And Chip, well, because it’s Chip!
He was the most complicated with the different colors and I did have two places where the paper ripped a little but thankfully it didn’t ruin it.

I am hoping to do some more sketches in my notebook to embroider during some of the hours and hours and hours we will be in a plane. From what I’ve read online I will be able to take supplies needed in my carry on. Yes!
